¨Then, my students gave me the answer. Alice, Peter Pan, the Pirate with one covered eye and the stick leg had been always very interesting stories, but they preferred a new and different reading, something that made them shake, and if it was possible, to feel alive, in some way, involved between their daily life and the stories narrated on the paper. No more boring stories that always begin with ¨once upon a time¨ based in noveled life of a beautiful couple made up of an amazing prince who fell love with the very beautiful princess. In addition, there´s always a very, very bad stepmother, an ugly speaking frog, the big and dark castle and, of course, the prince who haws big white horse and a brilliant dangerous sword. Oh, boy! All of us know that this is not the truth in the real life¨To teach reading we have to read. To teach writing we have to write. There´s nothing better than teacher´s example, who putting himself at the children level, writes his own histories; right or wrong, it´s matter because we all have different skill levels to fly with the fantasy wings. But anyway it is important to integrate to the students imagination development and help them to live their own adventures expressed on the paper. Lets go back to be kids. Lets play to live life again. To teach reading we have to read. To teach writing we have to write.
